Signature is constantly considering its future and position within the industry and to enable this to happen, it has been recognised that it must go back to the core of the business-the employees. Stuart Harrison, Signplate and Bus Shelter Production Manager oversaw nine members of the Signplate staff undertake a Level 2 NVQ in Sign Making, and all passed the course in September 2005. Walsall College provided the training and expertise at Signature's manufacturing plant in Tividale, whereby the employees had to cover units ranging from maintaining safety of the workplace to preparing sign operations. This is the initial step in a long line of educational investments that Signature has planned for its staff.
